$200, 000 Boundless Playground Campaign

Playgrounds Should be for Everyone!

To help make this a reality for our community, the PenMet Foundation embarked on the Campaign for All to Play in 2008. Our goal is to raise $200,000 by September 30, 2008 to assure the first certified Boundless™ Playground in the Northwestern United States is built at Sehmel Homestead Park… ensuring a place in our community for all to play!

You can make history in Gig Harbor and help enrich the lives of all our children by through your donation to the Campaign for All to Play. All proceeds will go directly to the Boundless™ Playground project! Click here for the project brochure and donor/pledge form.


Location

The Boundless ™ playground, the first of its kind in the Northwestern U.S., will be built at the 98-acre Sehmel Homestead Park located at 78th Avenue and Sehmel Drive NW in Gig Harbor. The park will also include amenities such as ball fields, a pavilion and amphitheater, tennis and basketball courts, a trail system and many other recreational opportunities. Park construction will be underway by late Summer 2008!

Where Are We At?

Since formal launch of the Campaign for All to Play in early 2008, over $100,000 has been raised in financial support and pledges, services, and other in-kind contributions. Many thanks to all who have contributed so generously to this important community project!

The thermometer above shows just where we are at, and how far we have to go to meet our goal of $200,000 in financial support towards the Boundless™ Playground. The success of this project will rely on all in our community joining together to help create this special place where children of all abilities can share common experiences, joy and laughter -a place where all can play and learn together!
